SPONSORSHIP

I am delighted to announce that we have reached agreement with HITEK Electronic Materials Ltd for another season as our headline sponsor. As well as sponsoring the Championship itself they will be sponsoring our Driver of the Day/Weekend award and this prestigious trophy will carry their title and logo. Sincere thanks to Jim Lawton and all the team at HITEK for continuing with us. They are great people at a great company and we are proud to be associated with them in this mutually beneficial way.

We are also delighted to have secured sponsorship from Yokohama for another season. We will be continuing to use their A048 control tyre in the Twin Spark Cup and strongly encourage all drivers in other classes to use their excellent race tyres wherever possible.

We are in discussions with the Alfa Romeo Owners’ Club about continuing sponsorship from them and are hopeful of securing an agreement for the 2023 season.

CAR AND DRIVER NEWS

As if the news about the Modified class registrations in Paddock Bulletin 28 wasn’t exciting enough we have now received 3 more Modified class registrations, bringing the total to 11! Extraordinary:

Jamie Thwaites has purchased a TCR Alfa from Sweden and is planning to race it with us instead of his V6 class 155, Gareth Haywood has registered his ex-Graham Seager black supercharged 3.2 GTV, and we give a very warm welcome back to long time Alfaracer Keith Waite in his 75. If all goes to plan we are going to have an eye catching variety of very quick cars out on track with us this season!

Paul Webster has acquired the 156 GTA raced by Andy Inman last season and is planning to do as many races as his busy work schedule permits. Paul has endured numerous mechanical woes with his 147 GTA over the past couple of seasons and it will be a great pleasure for us all – and Paul in particular – to put these behind him (everything crossed). Roger meanwhile is preparing a new car for Andy Inman to race.

Tom Waite has been working hard on his Power Trophy class 33 over the past couple of years and a 16 valve engine is now to be installed along with other upgrades. We are looking forward to seeing it back on the circuits soon.

Adrian Norman has registered to race the 147 he acquired from Bianco last season and is looking forward to a competitive season in the Twin Spark Cup.

Stacey Dennis is working hard to secure sponsorship and a budget that would enable her to do a full season in 2023. It will be fabulous if all this comes to fruition.

RACE RETRO

We will have a V6 class car on display on the 750 Motor Club stand at the renowned Race Retro event at Stoneleigh Park near Coventry on 24th to 26th February. Come along and see us if you are there.

RACE ENTRIES

Race entries opened on 6th February on the 750 Motor Club website. Once a driver has registered with ARCA I notify the 750 MC office of their details and once they have entered those into their system (provided they have joined the 750 Motor Club of course!) they are good to go. Occasionally there can be admin delays so if you are planning to compete early race entry is advised to avoid any last minute hitches.
