AUTOSPORT SHOW
The Autosport Show is taking place at the NEC from 9th to 12th January. ARCA will be represented by Panel Members on the 750 Motor Club stand on all 4 days where Scuderia MiTO’s car will be on display representing our Championship. We hope all our drivers, prospective drivers and supporters will come along to see us for a chat during the weekend. You will be warmly welcomed!
ELIGIBILITY SCRUTINEER
Following discussions between the relevant parties I am delighted to announce that our Eligibility Scrutineer, Kev Lewis, will be continuing in his role with us following our transfer to the 750 Motor Club. As part of the agreement Kev will also undertake some general scrutineering duties on race weekends as well as the work he does with us. Kev has been a great asset to the Championship and we are very much looking forward to continuing his work with us in the coming season.
ENZARI.COM
I am pleased to announce that we have completed a sponsorship agreement with Enzari.com – an online Italian car news and features magazine. We will carry their logo on all our race cars and promote them in a range of other ways and in return they will advertise and promote our Championship via their website and a range of media. They will cover all our races and publish our race previews and race reports and will also engage with us in a range of other ways.
Enzari will be designated an official media partner and Silver Sponsor in accordance with the new range of sponsorship packages designed for us by Woya Digital and we are confident that this agreement will represent another significant step forward for us in promoting our Championship to a much wider audience.
If you haven’t come across their material before I highly recommend that you check out their website at https://enzari.com/ – it has an excellent range of news and articles for Italian car fans.
2020 REGISTRATIONS
It is very encouraging to see that as at 6th January we already have 9 drivers registered for the 2020 Championship. Returning drivers registered to date are Graham Seager, Roger Evans, Riccardo Losselli, Richard Ford, Andrew Fulcher, Jamie Thwaites, Martin Jones and Matt Daly. We also welcome a new driver to the Championship, Jonathan Tortolani, who has acquired the ex-Luther Blissett 156 Twin Spark Cup car. Jonathan has been busy refettling the car ready for the new season and will be retaining its former race number 48. Welcome to the Championship Jonathan!
Keep those registrations coming in!!
ALFA ROMEO GT
Adding to the exciting range of iconic Alfa Romeos racing in our Championship in the coming season will be a Power Trophy class GT, a model that we haven’t seen on track with us since Darelle Wilson competed with us in 2014 in a bright green diesel model prepared by Team Hard. The red GT below is pictured leaving DPMD’s premises in Fife with a newly installed roll cage en route back to Roger Evans’s workshop in Hope Valley where it will be fitted with a 3.2 litre V6 ready to compete in the 2020 Championship.
