Michael Lindsay, founder and long time coordinator of the Alfa Romeo Championship, passed away peacefully last night after a short illness. Our sincere condolences go to his wife Diana, his family, and to all his many friends and acquaintances in the world of motor racing and Alfa Romeo racing in particular.

Michael’s contribution to Alfa racing throughout his lifetime was immeasurable and his story will need to be told by someone who knew him much longer than I did. He was instrumental in the formation of the Alfa Romeo Championship in the early 1980s and he was involved with it in one form or another throughout the rest of his life. His knowledge of its history was all encompassing, as was his knowledge of motor racing in general.

RIP Michael. You will be sorely missed.
