A look back at the Connell family’s long-standing involvement in the championship throughout the 1990s and early 2000s.
Ian, along with sons Richard and Marc, were regular competitors across multiple seasons, running a variety of cars including the Alfetta GTV, 75 3.0 V6, and several Alfa 33s.
This selection also includes photos of Colin Wing who sadly passed away recently. Colin raced an Alfasud and a 33, and was closely involved in helping the Connell family prepare their cars.
The images come from our archive, originally compiled by the late Michael Lindsay, who maintained an extensive photographic record of the championship dating back to its beginnings in 1982. We hope to share many more collections like this in the future.
