Garage Allocation

We have been allocated pit garages 20 to 31 on the Sunday meaning we should have considerably more room for cars and trailers than last year. Please note that the Fun Cup Championship will be in the garages on Saturday so early arrivals will need to wait until they have vacated.

A list of team / driver names will be published over the weekend letting you know which garage number you are in.

Silverstone Prep

Anyone who hasn’t driven this layout of Silverstone before, please make sure you attend one of the new driver briefings. Times will be issued when you sign on.

Twin Spark Cup drivers, please note that we plan to continue the ‘split grid’ start procedure introduced last season. All cars will set off at the same time but the TS Cup will be separated from the rest of the field by 3 rows to hopefully avoid first corner incidents.

If you have any questions on the day, please ask for a panel member or for Tim Perry who has kindly offered to help with race day organisation.

For those that haven’t driven the circuit before or if you’re just looking to refresh your memory, below is a couple of videos from last season, on-board with Dave Messenger & Louise West.

Goodwood

Last weekend saw the running of the 73rd Members Meeting at Goodwood featuring ARCA driver Chris Snowdon in the “Alpilatte” liveried GTV6 in the Gerry Marshall Trophy. Chris finished 6th in race 1 and 11th in race 2 sharing the car with Nick Whale.

Another Alfa to feature at Goodwood was this 1932 8C 2600 ‘Muletto’. The 8C ‘Mulettos’ (Muletto literally means ‘donkey’ or ‘mule’) were lightweight factory test and development cars. This one took part in the legendary Targa Florio with the minimalist body and ‘bolster’ tank before having new bodywork made for it.

155 V6 Ti DTM

Below is a fantastic video featuring 4 ex Larini DTM cars. They’ve stuck a GoPro camera in pretty much every place possible to capture all sorts of angles on the car.
