Racing Journey

I first raced in the Alfa Romeo Championship back in 1994 before taking what turned into a 28-year break. Like many, life got in the way—but the passion for racing never really left.

Since returning in 2022, it’s been a steady and enjoyable climb back into the swing of things: 5th in 2022, 3rd in 2023, and then fortunate enough to take the championship in both 2024 and 2025.

There’s a great group of drivers in this series, and the competition is always close—so those results definitely haven’t come easily.

The Cars

My return started in the Alfa Romeo 156 Twin Spark, which was a brilliant way to get back into racing. I then moved into the Alfa Romeo 147 GTA, prepared by Revs Italia—and that’s been a bit of a turning point.

The 147 has been incredibly rewarding to drive and, on its day, very quick. Across the circuits I’ve raced it at, it’s managed to set the Power Trophy lap record at all seven—something I’m really proud of, especially given the level of competition.

That said, it’s very much a team effort, and the support and preparation from Revs Italia has been a huge part of that.

Favourite Circuits

I tend to enjoy the more technical tracks—Oulton Park and Cadwell Park in particular. They’re the kind of circuits that keep you honest and reward consistency more than outright bravery (most of the time!).

Why Alfa Romeo?

My love for Alfa Romeo goes back to childhood, thanks to my dad’s Alfetta GTV and later a GTV6. Those cars made a lasting impression, and it’s nice that racing has brought things full circle.

There’s something about racing Alfas—character, noise, and just enough unpredictability to keep things interesting.

Life Outside Racing

Away from the track, I lead a team of data architects, which probably explains my slightly over-analytical approach to racing. I enjoy digging into data and trying to find those small improvements wherever possible.

Most importantly, I have the support of my wife and two children, who come along to many of the races and make the whole experience that much more enjoyable. I’m also a member of the Goodwood Road Racing Club and a regular at Goodwood events.

Outside of that, I enjoy travelling and good food—ideally not at the same time as trying to fit into a race suit.

Looking Ahead to 2026

The aim for 2026 is straightforward: keep enjoying the racing, stay competitive, and see where it takes me. The standard in the championship keeps improving, so nothing can be taken for granted.

If I can be somewhere near the front and have a few good races along the way, I’ll be happy.

Sponsorship

I currently race independently but would be very open to speaking with potential sponsors. Club racing offers a great opportunity for genuine engagement and visibility in a friendly, passionate environment.

And, as previously advertised, I can still offer a very decent bacon sandwich in the pits—arguably the real reason most people turn up.
