We are delighted to announce that Andy Hancock will be the New Alfa Romeo Championship Coordinator!
Andy will take over the role of coordinator, running the championship alongside the other panel members, liaise with the 750MC on important issues and try to increase our grid numbers to ensure that the Championship remains viable and grows and thrives into the future.
Andy H will have some big shoes to fill as we say goodbye and thank you to Andy Robinson who has more than fulfilled the role since 2018 and been a great ambassador for Alfa Romeo racing in the UK. We wish Andy R well with his future endeavours and hope to see him, relaxed in the paddock very soon.
In Andy Hancock’s own words:
‘My 1st ever race was with ARCA in 2010 at Silverstone in a 33 that cost £300 off ebay. I then took the car to run with the CSCC for a couple of seasons until it fell apart. I had come across Paul Plant while racing with the CSCC and he suggested coming across to the Alfa Championship for some fun and racing in Twin Sparks with Bianco.
I enjoyed six wonderful years in the Championship, despite these being the Bishop, Ford, Plant, Herbert & Hill years!!
The highlight being 2x flag to flag class wins at Donington in 2017 in front of some of those guys. Race Helmet has been hung up for good, and time taken up now running my Motorsport Insurance business, which enabled me to keep up to date with the Alfas from afar.
Looking forward, with the help of the Panel, to moving the Championship forward in 2025 and beyond!’
