The HITEK Electronic Materials Alfa Romeo Championship is returning to the picturesque Lincolnshire circuit on 21 July, for drivers to take on the challenging twists, turns and gradients of Cadwell Park, known as the mini Nurburgring, as they contest rounds 5 and 6 of the 2024 championship.
Leading the championship after four rounds is Toby Broome in his Revs Italia supported 156 Twin Spark from Richard Ford in the Power Trophy GT. Jamie Thwaites in the very quick TCR Giulietta is in third place closely followed by Edward Robinson in the 156 Twin Spark although Edward will be unable to race this time around. Andy Page in the Giulietta 116 and Stacey Dennis in the Power Trophy Giulietta make up the top six going into the weekend’s races. 2009 champion Paul Plant and reigning Champion James Ford are close behind and could be challenging for the leading positions once the dropped score rule takes effect.
In the Modified class, 2023 class winner Mike Hilton will be lining up alongside Jamie’s TCR Giulietta and Andy’s classic 116 Giulietta in the exciting and distinctive 4C.
In the Power Trophy, both Richard Ford and Paul Plant will be looking to consolidate their championship positions with good points scoring this weekend.
In the Twin Spark Cup, Championship leader Toby Broome will be joined by Garry Jackson who is making his second outing of the year in the ex Jonathan Tortolani and Luther Blissett 156. We extend a warm welcome to newcomer Peter Bell who will be lining up on the grid in his Alfa 146. This is the first time this particular model has raced for quite a number of years since Richard Ford exchanged his for a 156 and it’s always good to see a variety of different Alfa models on show!
Thanks again go to headline sponsor HITEK Electronic Materials Ltd, Yokohama, Unit-11. the Alfa Romeo Owners Club and the 750 Motor Club for their continuing and valued support.
