Despite having now left the post of Championship Co-ordinator I have for the past few weeks been helping with the transition of many of the roles to their new owners. A few people have been asking “what’s going on” so I just thought I’d put a note out explaining some of the things that have been happening over the past few weeks.

The first thing to say is “don’t panic” – things are progressing well and lots should happen over the next few weeks.

Many of the roles are currently in the process of switching to the people who have so generously offered their time to help out – these roles include – sorting out the 2014 regs, sponsorship liaison, Championship registrations & race number allocation, organising trophies, organising & distributing decals, awards party organisation, organising TV coverage etc, website & social media . . . . and lots more (sorry if I missed anyone).

Many of the people involved, along with many of the panel, are due to meet on Sunday 16th February to discuss these roles and the organisation and communication that are vital parts of making the new structure succeed.

I, along with some of the panel, will be attending the BRSCC Prize Giving on Saturday 8th of February where we will have the opportunity to discuss ARCAs plans with Drew, Dominic & Liz from the BRSCC.

The official role of Championship Co-ordinator has not been filled yet but discussions on this role are on-going with the BRSCC and news is expected soon.

Currently Clive Hodgkin has take on a temporary role of being the single point of contact for communication between ARCA and the BRSCC.

Whilst the new webiste etc is under construction I do intend to update the existing site soon to allow ARCA to start accepting Championship registrations for 2014.

Please note that for 2014 there will be some changes to the registration costs. For 2014 the registration fee will be £75. For drivers that did not compete in any ARCA race in 2013 (including any who registered but did not enter any races) we will again offer a staged payments membership – but for 2014 this will be three payments of £25, one before your first race meeting, one before your second meeting and a third before your third meeting that will then give you full membership for the remainder of the season. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT AVAILABLE TO ANYONE WHO RACED IN A CHAMPIONSHIP RACE IN 2013.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if you wish to offer assistance to the panel, please in the first instance email [email protected] and this will be sent to all existing panel members.
